Kromproom feat. Centurio - "Danced With A Robot" Maxi-Single Release on April 8, 2013

On March 15, 2013, Kromproom and Centurio announced the forthcoming release of their electrifying single "Danced With A Robot," set to drop on April 8, 2013. This highly anticipated track marks the 10th anniversary of Kromproom's debut album Black Import, which was originally self-published in 2003. In 2010, Black Import was re-released under the Dark Daze Music label, led by Carlos Perón, former member of Yello. Among the standout tracks on the album was the instrumental “Zatańczysz z robotem” ("Will You Dance with a Robot"), a futuristic and electronic composition that caught the attention of Jens Esch, better known as Centurio.

Kromproom first met Centurio during his collaboration with Carlos Perón, and their creative connection grew rapidly. Fascinated by the track, Centurio wrote English lyrics for it, providing his signature vocals and transforming the instrumental piece into a vocal-driven anthem. The song was retitled “Danced With A Robot,” blending Centurio’s compelling vocals with Kromproom’s pulsating production.

In addition to the original track, the single will include three remixes: the "Transmission Long Mix," which offers an extended and atmospheric version; the "Dubstep Remix," delivering a more bass-heavy, contemporary twist; and the "Transmission Radio Mix," designed for radio play with a shorter runtime. Furthermore, a bonus track titled "Ethnism" will also be featured, showcasing Centurio’s ethereal vocals and a fusion of electronic and ethnic sounds.

"Danced With A Robot" is not just a collaboration, but a celebration of the evolution of Black Import and the creative journey that began a decade ago. Kromproom and Centurio have decided to release this single as a tribute to that milestone, infusing the project with the same energy that defined the original album. The result promises to be a maxi-single that combines trance, dance, and dubstep elements, creating a dynamic and futuristic soundscape.
